Welcome Baby Girl Kalena Date of Birth: June 10, 2011 Length: 19 inches (approx) Weight: 3 Pounds (approx) ABOUT BABY Baby Kalena was reborned from the adorable Shyann sculpt by Aleina Peterson. Many hours were spent coloring and rooting to make her the sweet little girl you see her. BABY'S SKIN, BODY and HAIR Little Kalena was painted with many layers of genesis heat set paints to give her a realistic baby look - complete with birthmarks and splotchiness that you would see in a young baby. Her little nails were tipped and sealed. Her head was rooted with dark brown human hair. It has been sealed on the inside so that it can be gently combed. It was micro rooted but human hair is thicker than mohair so it appears that there are more than the 1 to 3 hairs you normally get when micro rooting. Human hair is easier to care for than mohair. It does not get frizzy like mohair. She has blue eyes and wispy eyelashes. Kalena is filled will poly pellets and tiny glass beads for weight. Her doe suede body is also stuffed with soft poly fiber to give her a cuddly real baby feel. She has 3/4 limbs. She fits into some preemie and some newborn size clothes. She was so much fun to shop for!
