Katie Date of Reborn: January 2010 Weight: Approximately 6 lbs Length: 20 inches (Slightly Bent Legs) I am so very proud to introduce to you, this stunning baby girl. She has been reborn from the very first PROTOTYPE of the 'Soon to be Released' ~ Ruby Hues Maura ~ Maura was originally sculpted by the very talented ~ Cathy Rowland ~ Thank you to Cathy & Simply Reborn Ltd for such a wonderful sculpt If you would like to know where to get this kit, then please do feel free to contact me Katie's pictures have been taken over a few days, using no artificial light. The weather here in the UK is not the best! The different cast's you may see on some of the pictures is due to the dull daylight we have been having here. Her pictures have not been edited or altered in anyway, other than to have my nursery name added. Please enjoy looking at Katie Katie is such a beautiful sleeping baby girl and I really loved every minute I have spent reborning her. She has been beautifully brought to life using Genesis paints. Katie has been coloured over many days and all her thin sets of tones have been built up to achieve her beautiful and very realistic baby skin. I have not added any texture to Katie so she is beautifully soft to touch. She is so lifelike, you are almost waiting for her to breath! Katie has blue undertones in all the places where her skin would be naturally thinner. She has tiny veins and capillaries, and milk spots. I have opened her little nose and backed with felt to give an illusion of depth. Her gorgeous little lips have been tinted and finished with a satin varnish to make them look moist. All her tiny little nails have that 'Just Clipped' look and again finished with a layer of varnish. She has been heat sealed and her colouring will not rub off or fade. Katie also has very finely painted eyebrows to match her beautiful hand painted hair. Kaite has the most perfect little face, she just looks so cute! I just want to pick her up for a snuggle every time I walk past her in the crib. She really does make me smile when I look at this gorgeous little bundle! ! Katie has a 'Ruby Hues' disc jointed body in Doe Suede which has been made in Germany and is of the highest quality, so it is a perfect fit! This has been filled with, soft fluffy heavy weight fibre fill, baby fat and securely sealed glass beads to make her the perfect weight and cuddle! She is such a pleasure to hold, she just cuddles in your arms and she isn’t over filled, so she is very pose able. Once you pick up this beautiful baby girl, you will struggle to put her down! She is a pure pleasure to both look at and hold. All of her limbs have been weighted with ultra fine glass granules and fibre fill. These have been sealed to prevent leakage. Kaite's head has also been weighted and will need supporting, just like a real newborn. Reborn from the Ruby Hues Prototype 'Maura' ~ Painted using Genesis Paints ~ Amazing lifelike baby skin tones ~ Lifelike Blemishes, Milk Spots and Scratches ~ Hand Rooted Eyelases ~ 3/4 Arms ~ 3/4 Legs ~ Hand Painted Hair and Eyebrows ~ Crystal Dummy/Paci, Terry Nappy and Crystal Nappy Pin ~ Fully Jointed Doe Suede German Body ~ Perfectly weighted using Glass Beads & Granules, Heavy weight Fibre & Baby Fat ~ I chose to paint Katie's hair using Genesis Paints. I have used the finest brush possible to try and create the most realistic head of hair. Katie's hair is following a natural hairline and is directionally painted. She also has a natural 'crown'. Katie has a magnetic Dummy. The magnets used are VERY strong and care will need to be taken around people with pacemakers and also electrical equipment.
