I am Katelyn, the sole artist here at ~* Always Babies Nursery*~ . I strive to create gorgeous, lifelike babies for new moms out there and for the avid collector. I have been reborning these babies for almost 3 years now, and I still love each and every minute of it. I learn something new with each baby I create, and thus each baby created is in some way better than the last. I would like to introduce to you my newest little boy, Jacob. He has been created from the micro-preemie JACOB sculpt, by Jessica Schenk. Bringing him to life has been an absolute pleasure for me and I hope you can see that in his pictures. First, baby Jacob was given a nice warm bubble bath to remove any and all residues. He was then brought to life with my special technique. I used my very own blend of colors. Baby Jacob has the most gorgeous peaches and cream skin tone. It has been acheived by many transparent layers of Genesis Heat Set Paints over many days. I am very, very pleased with how this little one has turned out and I hope you feel the same way about him as I do. I hope the love I have for each baby shows. And I hope that this little one's new mom feels the same way about him as I do. Baby Jacob's face has been completely detailed to look just like a real baby. He is a sleepy little boy, so his eyelashes have been hand rooted and sealed from the inside to prevent shedding. His nose has been shaded for extra realism. His lips have been tinted to perfectly match his skintone and then sealed for protection. His cheeks have that lovely baby glow that is most commonly seen on babies of his age. Baby Jacob has had his first manicure and pedicure. His nails have been tinted, tipped, and sealed for protection. He has that just clipped look that many prefer. His hands and feet look so real. They are just adorable, and might I say kissable:) Has Jacob tugged at your heart strings? Could he be the baby of your dreams? Baby Jacob can now wear PREEMIE size clothing perfectly. Baby Jacob's hair has been hand drawn with an artist pencil. It has been sealed so you can change his clothes and handle him without the worry of messing up, or rubbing off, his hair. I have given baby Jacob a custom made doe suede body, made by me. He now has 3/4 jointed arms and full legs! His limbs have been filled with glass beads and then sealed to prevent leakage. His body has been filled with a pouch of glass beads surrounded by soft, non clumping poly fil. His head has been weighted with a pouch of glass beads surrounded by the same soft, non clumping poly fil and then sealed to prevent leakage. Please remember, his head needs supported just as you would a real newborn baby, when he is picked up to cuddle:) Since Jacob has 3/4 arms and full legs, he is able to wear all of those cute spring, summer, and fall outfits. He can even wear just a onesie or t-shirt, and diaper and look absolutely adorable.
