Reborn Aboriginal/Ethnic Baby Girl Mary is one of my earlier aboriginal reborn baby girl. She would be a few months old, not a depiction of a brand new newborn. At a glance: Name: Mary Reborn: 10th October, 2009 Weight: 1985 gms or 4 lb 6 ozs Length: 21 inches Brea by Lorna Miller-Sands 3/4 arms and legs high quality mohair - hand rooted (not micro) Mary has been painted over many days using many thin layers of GHSP starting with a biracial coloured vinyl kit . She has been given subtle undertones of mottling and shading to create soft highlights to her aboriginal toned skin. Her tones have been achieved using many many layers of gradually darkened skin tones. All creases have been attended to and her nails have been given a "just clipped" manicure. Her hair is a high quality mohair which has thenn been hand rooted into a fuller head of hair suitable for an older baby style. She also has pierced ears which contain gold toned studs with a tiny crystal/diamante type stone in them. Mary has a magnet for her dummy and also a magnetic hair piece on the side of her head so special care needs to be taken around electrical equipment, computers and people with pacemakers. Should you require the magnets to be removed please advise at time of payment. Should magnets need to be removed, however, it will delay her shipping by a couple of days. All of Mary's photos have been taken in studio lighting across the day, without a flash and no editing of colour has been done. What you see in her photos is her true colouring. The ONLY altering of her photos has been for cropping and resizing then adding borders and text to label my photos as my own. Nothing has been changed to alter or hide anything in any of the photos. What you see in the photos is what you get with this little beauty. Mary has two gorgeous outfits, her lovely asian print day dress and her comfy black and whie casual outfit with hand knitted beret. Mary will travel via Courier if purchaser resides in Australia, or via Australia International Express Post if residing outside of Australia. I have been reborning now for almost two years and have many reborns adopted out across Australia with happy owners. I am constantly striving to improve and better my skills in the realism of ethnic and caucasian babies to ensure that you are receiving a baby of high quality. My starting prices in no way reflect the quality of the reborn, but are simply an affordable start to allow more people to purchase a quality reborn. Not everyone can afford the luxury of a high price and although a high price would be nice to receive I value the love of the recipient for their purchase and therefore offer mine at an affordable start. Occasionally one has cost me quite a bit more to produce so will have a higher starting price accordingly. Most of my reborns are offered through the doll show circuit where I have successfully sold many of my reborns but from time to time I also offer some to you here on Ebay. This is why some of them have an older reborn date but it in no way affects the quality of the reborn. NO SAND HAS BEEN USED IN MAKING THIS REBORN SO SHE IS SAFE TO TRAVEL THROUGH CUSTOMS WORLDWIDE. If quarantine contacts you for permission to inspect, you can be confident it will pass. Sometimes tiny sand sized glass granules can get held up for inspection but once they inspect they do pass through satisfactorily. Should this item be heading to a new home Internationally, I will include a spare cable tie to enable the reattaching of a limb should this occur. We have received items that have been inspected by quarantine and all they do is remove a limb but they do not reattach. A new cable tie is all that is required to perform this task.
