sharonaa94 Store Lisa Lisa was reborn from the adorable Robin doll kit by Michelle Fagan. Lisa is a beautiful baby girl! I hope you enjoy looking at Lisa as much as I did reborning her. Date Reborn: 2/20 /2010 Weight: 6 lbs. Length: 21 inches I really love how Lisa turned out. She is so cute, I can hardly put her down! The first process was to give Lisa her first warm sudsy bath. I use Genesis paints and a process known as honeycombing which is very time consuming but adds such depth & realism, I feel it is worth the time. I add many, many layers of paint to create a very realistic skin tone. Every detail from veining under the skin to the creases is completed to achieve the most realistic look possible. I finish the skin with a matte finish to add texture. I took Lisa's photos outdoors so you can see her skin tone in the best possible light. Even though her pictures are very good, you must see her in person to really appreciate how adorable she is. I take great care in creating beautiful textured skin for each baby. I want people to gasp in disbelief when they find out my dolls are not real! Extreme realism is what I always aim for. Lisa is made of a soft vinyl. She is flexible and very huggable . Besides skin tone, excellent hair rooting is the second key to great reborning. I use a 43 gauge needle and micro root one to two hairs of premium medium brown kid angora mohair at a time. I purchase my mohair from Slumberland Nursery. You must see her hair in person to see how real it looks. I take a lot of time and care to make sure the hair is rooted in a natural pattern and the hair has a life-like appearance. Her hair has been securely glued inside of her head, so Lisa's hair can be gently washed & styled. Sleeping the day away....... Quality custom doe suede, jointed body with fine glass beads for weight and brand new poly-fill to be huggable. 3/4 length arms and legs Micro rooted hair and eyelashes Genesis heat set paints True to life skin tones, veining, mottling, blushing Beautiful two piece outfit from Small Wonders. Outfit includes long sleeve top and velour pants. Adorable three piece outfit from Wishes and Kisses. Outfit includes snap up stripe sleeper, bunting strawberry vest and matching tam hat. Accessories include: diaper, snap t-shirt, socks, magnetic paci, headband , soft baby blanket, baby bottle & adorable flower toy.Birth certificate Lisa has such realistic features! She is a beautiful little girl! I wish someone would pick me up and rock me. Lisa has a magnetic pacifier. Because the magnets are extremely powerful, they must be kept away from computers, electronic equipment, magnetic media and pace makers. If the magnets are a problem I would be more than happy to remove them. Lisa's nostrils have been opened and backed with felt to make her a breather. Your Baby will be securely packaged; I take great care in making sure my babies are safe and secure for their trip to your home. Your baby will normally be delivered by Stork Mail, (USPS Priority Mail) You may also request Express Mail as an option. As far as shipping charges, I charge the actual rate based on the weight and distance. I add a four dollar handling charge to cover the costs of the packaging supplies and post office trips. I also include insurance because I can not be responsible for loss or damage to your baby after leaving the nursery. Please understand that I do not try to make any money on the shipping. International shipping is via USPS Priority Mail or Express Mail International. The Express Mail is typically not that much more and is 3-5 days instead of 6-10 days. International Bidders: Please note that any and all customs fees and duties are your responsibility. This doll does not contain any sand or other organic filler that would create a problem with customs. To be more eco friendly, I now use only 100% recyclable packaging peanuts. Please feel free to reuse them. If you do not need them, you can simply melt them in your sink with warm water; they are made of corn starch and are completely non-toxic! Can you guess what I'm dreaming about? I love to lay in my soft blanket after my bath. Lisa has a beautiful baby pedicure and manicure. Her nails have been sealed with a non-yellowing glaze. I challenge myself to create very realistic looking hands and feet. I take great care in picking out just the right outfits for each baby. Since all four of my children are grown, I love picking out baby clothes for my reborns. Lisa wears newborn or 0 to 3 month size clothes. Lisa is a beautiful baby and is heirloom quality. She is a collectible and not intended for children as a play toy. I personally sign and number all of my babies.
