Mamarita's "Little Darlins" Nursery Is Proud To Introduce Gabby Reborn April 6th, 2010 Weight 3lb 12 oz Length 16 inches Hair Reddish Brown Eyes Newborn Blue Hi, my name is Rita Meese and I am the artist here at "Little Darlins" Nursery. I have been making dolls for many years, and I take time with each baby to "bring it to life". Every one of my "Little Darlins" is a true one of a kind. Gabby started out as a Berenguer La Newborn . These faces are extremely popular. This is just an adorable face!! I carefully disassembled her and removed all her factory paint. She was given a nice warm bubblebath to remove any residue. Then the fun began. Many hours were spent getting this little girls complexion just right. She has subtle veining, and blushing in all the right places. This was done with Genesis heat set paints, which are baked right into the vinyl and will never peel or chip. Gabby was given a baby manicure and pedicure. Her nails, as well as her mouth, have been glossed and sealed. Her lips have just a bit of a moist look. I gently opened Gabbys' nose so she can "breathe" and backed it with dark felt for depth. I painted on barely there eyebrows, and gave her lovely eyelashes to frame her pretty dark blue eyes. Gabby has beautiful soft wispy reddish brown baby hair. It has been micro-rooted several strands at a time with a very high quality mohair. It has been sealed inside with waterproof glue, so her hair can be gently wet and styled . I recommend a baby comb and brush. This is a very time consuming process, but well worth it for the results. Her hair feels so real, and appears to be growing right out of her scalp. Gabby has full limbs, and a fully jointed custom made body. She has been weighted and stuffed with polyfill and feels so cuddly you won't want to put her down. She has been weighted and stuffed in her head, limbs, and body to have a very realistic feel. There is no sand in any of my dolls. She also comes with a tummy plate for those wonderful poses. Gabby is wearing an adorable little "saque" style top with side snaps that is white with pale pink trim. Her matching pink pants have a little ruffle around the cuff that matches the trim on her top. I contributed to this ensemble with a pair of crocheted ballerina shoes, and she is wearing a diaper. She has a crystal name bracelet. She will be snuggled in her soft white cocoon with pink trim and matching hat (handmade by me) for her trip home. In addition, she will have a birth certificate. Gabby wears preemie clothes. Earrings may be added at no additional charge. I have taken great pleasure in reborning this sweet little girl. I hope to find her a good home. This is no longer a play toy, but a true one of a kind collectible.
