I was strolling down the charming streets of Paris at the end of a fairy tale day full of sweet pastries and flea market treasures. Weary, but pleased with my vintage finds, the Eiffle tower in the distance beckoning me home, I noticed a beautiful scent in the air, like old fashioned David Austin roses. With vintage french chandeliers, quilts and even a wicker baby basket in tow I headed towards the dreamy scent. As I drew closer I discovered a beautifully ornate iron gate. Strange, I thought as I peeked over the top, I have never noticed this before. Was I dreaming? Right before my eyes was a secret rose garden. The intoxicating scent of hundreds of lush blooms drew me inside. I found a bench under a blossom covered arbor and sat down to rest, the song " I Love Paris" playing in my head. I must have dozed off but woke suddenly to the sound of soft cooing. In delight, I watched sparkly star dust misting the roses nearby. As it touched the petals the cooing became soft baby laughter. I walked over and to my amazement...there was a perfect little baby...just blooming right out of a beautiful rose. With the sweet scent around us, I quickly wrapped him in the vintage quilt and snuggled him into the basket. Soft baby sounds accompanied me the short distance home, and my steps were quickened by thoughts of unwrapping my rosey baby bundle as soon as possible. What a delight he was, a little over 5 lbs and so cuddly to hold...I gave him a bath....dried his soft silky hair...His ten little fingers and toes where freshly clipped and then I dressed him in the prettiest outfit I could find and named him Nikolas. I think you will agree that she is perfectly blushed in all the right baby places, this delightful little rose baby. he is looking for a special new home where he can bloom forever, and bring joy and delight to a new mommy. I have taken lots of photos and I hope that you can see what a precious discovery he is. Eveline sculpted by Adrie Stoete now Nikolas Oct 28th, 09 5lbs 6 oz 20 inches Hi, my name is Crystal Nguyen and I am the artist here at My Secret Parisian Rosegarden......This lil Cutie began as a New Release Eveline sculpted by the talented Adrie Stoete.....he is a life like newborn size with cute chubby limbs... Upon arrival he was given a warm soapy bath......I then painted with many layers using my special blends of genesis heat set paints...leaving her skin a healthy baby glow...with realistic appearence... His hair was meticulously hand painted one strand at a time....it looks like it just grew out of his scalp.....Just perfect for his sweet face... I hope you will enjoy dressing and pampering him just as much as I did.... I enjoyed taking lots of photos...so I hope you will take a minute to let them all load.... Look at that sweet face.... I have painted many layers with my special blend of permanent genesis heat set paints to give Nikolas the most life like baby skin. Each layer gives him a very life like multi-dimentional skin tone. I have taken so close ups , so you can see his skin texture.I have given him light veining on her head hands and feet. After painting Nikolas's skin, I hand painted his hair one stroke at a time. this is a very time consuming process but the end result is very realistic. After painting Nikolas's hair I have sealed it with a heat set matte finish I have given Nikolas the "just clipped" baby manicure, it has been tripled sealed. Nikolas wears size newborn - 3 months. Her new mommy will have so much fun shopping for him. Nikolas has been weighted a nice 5 lbs 6 oz. Which is true weight of a real baby. His weight consist of tiny glass beads (which have been sealed not to leak) and high quality cluster stuff fiber fill. All of Nikolas's pictures where taken in natural day light, that way you can see his true coloring.
